SAFE IN OUR LOCKDOWN BUBBLES Child/ Hine or : Maryam   Teacher/ Kaiako: Huda     Date: 20 April/  Paenga- whawha  2020 We closed the centre on Monday 23 March 2020. That day our Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, announced that the whole of New Zealand was going into lockdown for at least 4 weeks starting from Thursday 26 March to stop the spread of  covid  19. This highly infectious virus was making millions of people all over the world sick and people were dying.  We had to stay safe in our homes and only interact with the people living with us. Our religion tells us what to do in an epidemic. ‘ Ā’isha , Mother of the Believers, said: سَأَلْتُ رَسولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الطّاعُونِ، فأخْبَرَنِي أنَّه عَذابٌ يَبْعَثُهُ اللَّهُ على مَن يَشاءُ، وأنَّ اللَّهَ جَعَلَهُ رَحْمَةً لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ، ليسَ مِن أحَدٍ يَقَعُ الطّاعُونُ، فَيَمْكُثُ في بَلَدِهِ صابِرًا مُحْتَسِبًا، يَعْلَمُ أنَّه لا يُصِيبُهُ إلّا ما كَتَبَ اللَّهُ له، إلّا كانَ له مِثْل...
